How do I know the balance on my Selma Mall Gift Card?
You may obtain the balance on your Selma Mall Gift Card by:
1. Visiting the Customer Service desk at the Mall. (no charge)
2. Visiting www.mymallgiftcard.com. (no charge)
3. Calling the interactive voice response system at 1-800-798-4099.
A fee of $0.25 per call will be deducted from the Card’s balance for the second and all subsequent phone inquiries per month.
4. Balances can also be obtained on most merchant sales receipts after the transaction. (Available balance appears within the authorization code.)

Does my Selma Mall Gift Card have an expiration date?
The balance on your Selma Mall Gift Card is good through the “Valid Thru” date located on the front of your card. If the current date is within 30 days of the “Valid Thru” date, you may have the balance transferred to a new card. You may also return the card to MidAmerica Gift Certificate Company for a refund on the available balance. The card may be subject to a fee of $2.50 per month deducted from the Card balance beginning the thirteenth month after purchase date, where permitted by law.

What if the purchase amount is more than the available balance on my Selma Mall Gift Card?
To make a purchase that is greater than the amount of the Available Funds, ask the cashier if they can accept two forms of payment. If the cashier agrees, pay the difference with another form of payment accepted by the merchant (many merchants can only accept cash or check as the other form of payment), and then use your Selma Mall Gift Card to pay the remaining balance. NOTE: Not all mall merchants offer this as an option.

Is the Selma Mall Gift Card valid without my signature?
Selma Mall Gift Cards should be signed by the user. Merchants will verify the user’s signature on the receipt with the signature on the back of the Mall Gift Card.

Why do I have to keep track of my Selma Mall Gift Card balance Why can’t the store tell me the balance remaining
Each time you use your gift card the amount is automatically deducted from your card’s available balance. Because Selma Mall Gift Cards utilize the Discover Network, mall stores do not have access to the card balance information until after the transaction is completed. Your Selma Mall Gift Card’s remaining balance will appear within the authorization number that is printed on your receipt after completing the transaction.

Do restaurants and salons accept the Selma Mall Gift Card?
Some restaurants and nail/hair salons accept the Selma Mall Gift Card. Typically restaurants and salons add a fixed percentage (approx. 20%) to the authorization amount when they swipe your Selma Mall Gift Card for authorization to cover the tip that would normally be added to the transaction amount. Depending on the Available Funds, the transaction may be declined, or it may result in a “hold” for the additional amount. How do I return something purchased with my Selma Mall Gift Card?
Keep your purchase receipt and Selma Mall Gift Card in case you need to make a return. Return policies vary at every store. Please inquire about the return or exchange policy when making your purchase. If the merchant issues a credit to the Selma Mall Gift Card, these funds may not be available to you for up to 7 business days. Some merchants may issue store credits for returns.
